- The Kopanina lookout tower is located on the border between the Jizera Mountains and Maloskalsko - it is an older stone building north of Turnov - will reward you with a wonderful all-round view for a visit: - southern view Your view will take you to the Jizera valley around Malá Skála, including the romantic ruins of the Frydstejn castle - to the southwest, there are rock formations of the Bohemian Paradise and the town of Turnov, then Drabske svetnicky - to the west you can see the peaks of Malý and Velký Bezděz and Ralsko - to the north you can see the Ještěd and Javornik massif - the view to the northeast will take us to the ridges of the Jizera Mountains - the full-circle view is closed to the east by a view of the panorama of the Krkonoše Mountains, in the foreground by the Černá Studnice ridge - about 200 m below the lookout tower, the road from Turnov to Jablonec nad Nisou passes and below it is a house in which you can borrow the keys to the lookout tower, if it is closed
