This neat, well-cared house (number 17) on the woody square is the Hanacky clay house - called the porch or arcade. It dates from the mid-18th century and is the last proof of the original historical development. You can find countless things with him, around him and inside. I'll just mention here, in my view, an important one - and that is the roof. The roof was thatched. Small sheaves, usually made of rye straw, which had to be carefully bundled with straw cables and then tied to horizontal roof battens. The thatch, which was designed to cover the ridge of the roof, was soaked in water diluted, mixed clay. This made them harder and more resistant to wind gusts. People were said to have been "hardened". That is why the thatched roof ridge was called "kalenica". But that our ancestors were smart.
