The Baroque statue of St. Florian did not guard Žerotín Square for almost the whole of 2015. She had to go to the doctor. Her physical and health condition no longer allowed her duties to be performed here. That's why the restorer had to cure her. For 300 years it has been a respectable age and it is entitled to the removal of all pains in the form of cracks and fissures, all deposits from smoke or pigeons.

A nice statue placed on a cozy square. It reminds the area of old Tuscan towns.

At St. Michael's Church, the patron of all firefighters was tastefully placed. Soocha from 1728 underwent a rejuvenating bark, and in the full neo-nobility he dominated Žerotínové náměstí.

The statue of St. Florian, the patron saint of firefighters, etc., can be found in almost every major village. But not everyone is such a quality sculpture. a work like this by J. J. Schaunberger from 1728. In addition, so perfectly located in the corner of Žerotín Square, opposite the Church of St. Michala.

Opposite St. Michael's Church on the cylindrical pedestal is a statue of St. Florian. The saint is dressed in antique armor with a helmet decorated with a crescent moon. The right hand shows the statue of a flying angel with a jug of water. His left hand holds a banner. The look of St. Florian in entreaty is directed to heaven. On his feet is a strip of shoes with a lion's mask under his knees. The back is covered with a reddish wavy cloak. The Baroque monument was executed in 1729 by the sculptor Jan Jiří Šauberger. The staircase and pedestal to it - the work of the famous Olomouc mason Vatslav Render. The monument is not installed here by chance. It is known that in this part of the city in 1709 a terrible fire occurred which resulted in burnt out about 350 houses. In this fire, the churches of St. Maurice and St. Michael the Archangel were severely damaged. In this regard, and was installed a monument to St. Florian, as the patron of fire.
