Nový Hrádek u Lukova (Neuhäusel) Castle Ruins

Beautiful views of the countryside around the river Dyje.

Amazing castle ruins interesting not only as a castle, but also as part of the Podyji National Park - we could see some gorgeous mulleins, a hundred years old ivy, snakes or tawny owl... plus beautiful view of the national park from the top of the new castle. our tour guide was great, the tour was interesting and also fun, which is from my experience on the Czech landmarks rather an exception. The only negative thing for me is the impossibility of finding out the times of the tours online, which sometimes forces people to wait even for an hour for the next tour.

The Castle is truly amazing. Only negative is that there are no guides speaking non-Czech language, but you can get written block of history of the ruins in english or german. Anyway for sure it is worth of visiting.

Be sure they have openinig hours, else you end up only infront of gate...
