The city fortifications included several gates, of which this late Gothic modified gate is called Pražská or Dolní.

An inaccessible gate to Beroun square, which you just walk through. Damage.

Since the 14th century, the Prague Gate was part of the city's defense system and formed the entrance to the city from Prague. It got its current appearance after the reconstruction in 1893. The tower used to be a town cloak.
