The western part of the Peace Square in Litomerice is decorated with a small baroque building, made in red and white colors. It was originally a Gothic burgher house, which was the residence of the builder and one of the richest burghers, Julia Broji. The authorship of the Baroque reconstruction is attributed to his son Octavius, which was carried out in the years 1720-1730.
According to some sources, Broggio built a house for the family of the famous writer Vojtech (Adalbert) Kislink.
As I said, the building stands in the middle of the western façade of Peace Square, creating a significant quarry in it after the demolition of the neighboring house in the early 20th century.
The façade of this building is dominated by tall pilasters and other rich stucco decorations, culminating in a spiral pediment. If you look closely, you can see the image of five female faces on the facade. Hence the name - House of Five Virgins.
The arcade was renovated in the early 1950s, and the facade was last renovated in the 1990s.
Today, the ground floor houses commercial premises, and a two-level apartment is located above, which is connected by a spiral steel staircase.
Beautiful, originally Gothic burgher house considered the residence of the builder and one of the richest burghers Giulia Broggia. The authorship of the Baroque reconstruction is attributed to his son Octavia. The building was built on a narrow medieval plot at the earliest after 1712, but rather only in the 1930s. The façade is dominated by a high pilaster order and other rich stucco decorations, culminating in a volute gable. There are five girl faces on the façade, after which the house got its name.
I was lucky that when I ran and took pictures in the arcade (with a wide expression), one of the occupants of the house saw me and let me into the ground floor. The vaults in the entrance part are original, only skylights were pierced in two places due to the greater brightness of the corridor. The decoration of the staircase is partially preserved. The Lord boasted that the temperature in the house was constant, whatever the weather outside.

I was lucky to see one of the inhabitants of the house, when I was running in the arcade and taking pics, and let me into the ground floor. The vaults in the entrance part are original, only two slats were pierced due to the greater luminosity of the corridor. Partially, stair decoration is preserved. Man praised that there is a constant temperature in the house, no matter what weather is ouside of the house.
The house was built by architect Octavian Broggio for the family of his poet Vojtěch (Adalbert) Kyslinek in the early 1920s in the middle of the western front of the main square of Litoměřice. In the early 50s of the 20th century thoroughly renovated. It was named after five girls' heads depicted in the facade. A two-storey house on a narrow, deep Gothic plot. The facade is dominated by a high pilaster order and other rich stucco decoration, culminating in a volute gable. The arcade has been restored since the beginning of the 1950s, the facade was last repaired in the 1990s. He got his name from five girls' heads depicted in the front.
