Nicely maintained well with water springing from a stainless steel pipe in the middle of a stone wall, with clean surroundings and a nearby bench with a pleasant view. The source of water is the Pankrác terrace of river sands and sandy gravels. Topolka was the original name of the vineyard and according to legend, water for Vyšehrad was taken from this spring. Drinking local water was believed to contribute to longevity. According to historians from this locality, in the 12th century, a water main from pine trunks to Vyšehrad led by gravity, so it would probably be one of the first water mains in the territory of Prague. Written mentions of the aqueduct from 1361 have been preserved in the Archives of the Vyšehrad Chapter. Even in the first half of the 1980s, Topolka was widely used by the surrounding inhabitants, despite reports in the press about the faulty water. Until 1955, there was a shelter above the well. Topolka (Poplar´s) was the original name of the vineyard and according to legend, from this spring the water was taken for Vyšehrad. Drinking local water was believed to contribute to longevity. According to historians from this locality as early as in the 12th century, the water supply from the pine trunks led by gravity all the way to Vyšehrad, which would probably be one of the first water mains in Prague. Written mention of the water supply from 1361 has been preserved in the Archive of the Vyšehrad Chapter. According to the legend, Princess Libuše allegedly drank local water before the fortune-telling, hence its name "Libušina studánka" that is sometimes used. However, it is not clear whether the name Libuše´ Spring does not apply to a nearby Jezerka well. Even in the 1st half of the 1980s, Topolka was used extensively by locals, despite reports in the press about the defect of water. By 1955 there was a shelter above the well.

Libušina studánka (spring), also called Topolka according to the no longer existing vineyards. The water from this well was supposedly brought by mythical princess Libuše, who initiated the foundation of Prague Castle and its glory that touches the stars. Water is no longer suitable for drinking, allegedly contains higher amounts of nitrates, but in the past it has contributed to longevity, and to this day some people just need to bottle it and take it home.
