Vyšehradský tunel

For many years it was possible to bypass Vyšehradská skála only with the use of a ferry. Only the tunnel with a length of only 35 m significantly changed the transport connection between Nové Město and Podolí. The author of the first proposal was prof. Karel Vosyka (February 19, 1847 - March 3, 1897). Construction began on May 26, 1902, and was completed in 1905. The opening date is December 11, 1904. The tram line has been running here since 1910, and trolleybuses also ran through it between 1949 and 1967.
