The railway station is a convenient exit and boarding point in terms of tourism in the Protected Landscape Area Žďárské vrchy and in the Protected Landscape Area Železná hora. Since 2012, the city has been included in the Iron Mountains National Geopark, which further increases the attractiveness of the area. Around the railway station there are marked hiking trails passing through the town of Hlinsko, important tourist destinations available in it. I also recommend the railway connection for pleasant travel through the surrounding picturesque landscape, both in the direction of Chrudim and Pardubice, as well as in the direction of Chotěboř and Havlíčkův Brod, along the line many other interesting tourist destinations. From the point of view of the natural area of ​​the Iron Mountains, it can be mentioned for interest that in the line sections Žďárec u Skutče - Hlinsko v Čechách - Ždírec nad Doubravou, the railway crosses the main ridge of the Iron Mountains.
