G. K. Mayer Shoes

Unfortunately I feel completely ripped-off. Earlier this year, I bought a pair of G.K Mayer Business shoes. After wearing them only a few times, they started to break. The leather was starting to separate from the sole, the leather was breaking, the heel looked liked I had been running marathons with them, and the rubber under the "front sole" started to separate from the the sole. As I have an office job, the shoes that I wear are not exposed to any wear and tear that is beond the normal. Despite of this after only having used the shoes (at work) a few times, they were falling apart. Obviously I took the shoes back to the shop where i bought them (in Salzburg, Austria), where they promised me to send the shoes to the HQ for inspection. Two weeks later they call me back and say that I will have to take parts of the "repair/warranty" cost. After a long phonecall with the shop keeper in Salzburg, she promised to talk to the HQ about taking the whole cost for the repair (as I said that it is unacceptable that they are asking me to share the cost). A couple of days later, she calls me back and says that the decision is final - I have to share the repair cost. This has been the most unpleasant customer service experience of my life. The G.K Mayer shoes looks shiny and nice when you buy them, however, they will shortly thereafter start to fall apart and they will claim that you have not been treating the shoes correctly or that it is normal wear and tear (and therefore not a warranty topic). Unbelievably bad experience from this company. STAY AWAY. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING. All the best, Johan

Bought this brand of shoes years ago. I am really excited. And I'll definitely buy again !!!

My shoes (3 pairs) from G.K.Mayer have a particularly beautiful design. The comfort and workmanship are excellent. They stand out clearly from the crowd.

Unfortunately with the shoes I can only go in summer or at home !!! If I understood your answer correctly, you are saying that completely wet a shoe (always wet) that is fine for leather shoes? Sorry, but these articles are winter-autumn shoes. And in this time of year more wet weather than dry. I bought shoes for annual working hours. I didn't even buy shoes from G.K.Mayer, but I am very, very unhappy with the last shoes. It doesn't cost his money because you make more mistakes. And leather shoes shouldn't get wet like paper in wet weather.

After two months, the shoes were already broken. When exchanging you have to call in the central, where the tone is miserable and at the end of the handset is simply hung up. After trying again, the phone will not be picked up. Next step complaint on an even higher floor.
