Many thanks to Rainer, who explained the basics of Buddhism to me at the U25 meeting yesterday and gave an introduction to visual meditation. I felt very comfortable all around and will come again. best regards

Namaste .. .I was in the Buddhist center today for open meditation from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. I know the center and have already attended some events there. I always felt very comfortable and was always a welcome guest. Today, however, it was not terrifying at all: An older roommate at the center who wanted to do the meditation was very rude to me, rather expansive, instructive and also loudly very intrusive negative. I am horrified by such a procedure. I am an experienced meditation teacher and do not need any exchanges and especially no instructions about meditation when arriving for the first time. People who are on the way to get closer to their goal should not be so slowed down. My friend, who came a little later, would have been dispatched to the door if I hadn't intervened. A lot of negative energy had been generated by the behavior of the strange meditation teacher !!! We couldn't have meditated this round. Please take note of this. Is that how you deal with people? Have great doubts about this meditation teacher. This encounter was very disappointing and a "no go"

The Triratna Buddhist Center Essen is a wonderful place. I have been very good from the start (since April 2015) and that has not changed so far. A good environment both to get a first insight into Buddhism and meditation and to practice, as well as a really very pleasant community of diverse people - a beautiful sangha. A worthwhile experience for newbies, interested people and also old hands and therefore highly recommended in my eyes.

I visited here yesterday and today as a visitor: I find the idea of the open café that has only been here for a few months very nice. There is vegan hot food and various donated desserts. It was delicious and satisfying and an open, friendly atmosphere. In the Buddhist center itself, there are many yoga classes, meditation groups u.a. Although I was completely new here, I felt well looked after, welcomed and quickly met sympathetic, intrtessante people! ;-)
