Honestly, not quite what I expected; was lacking the whole 'industrial' aspect in my opinion. But the view from the roof is amazing.

Very beautiful location! Walked two whole hours around the building before entering the museum. Definitely worth it to take a look or for a nice walk. Also good for some interesting pictures.

Museum about the region Ruhr built inside the factory of Zollverein. Impressive collections and the layout of the exhibition are impressive!

This museum has a variety of things to offer. Each floor has a different theme one is about types of rocks, minerals , metals one is about collection of history and the list goes on. The museum offers permanent exhibition or the complete exhibition. Permanent exhibition has 4 floors but still there is lot to see in those 4 floors if you are short on time that is best option else go for complete. A locker is available as no backpack allowed inside museum so keep 1 or 2 euro coin (you get that back) with you just in case. Lift is available for easy access to the floor. I took 1 star down because of one thing that is I was continuously starred by the staff inside museum. The nearby tram station is zollverein which I accessed from Essen Hbf (local U train)-> Tram 107 (Gleis 1). I do recommend visiting this museum.

Great museum, it has a lot of history of the development of the North Ruhr Westphalia specially the ruhr area. It has also an area for kids.
