Better connectivity to Essen Hauptbahnhof
A very nice place with scenic beauty. If you're traveling for the first time in Essen or have some friends visiting you, it's a 'must go' place. You can just simply sit near the river bank and enjoy the warmness or you can enjoy the ship-ride. Of course, it'll cost you some money but it's not too expensive(13 euros for two hours). Worth visiting.
