A somewhat uncomfortable S-Bahn stop. But the S-Bahn is coming. Nearby the Ruhr and the route goes from Essen Hbf to Hattingen. What more do you want?
Essen Horst owns only a S Bahn stop and an old privately owned castle. Otherwise, nothing else worth mentioning. p. w.
It is a good train station to get drunk but too many German spoilsport. Too few foreigners who smoke at the train station and too few alcoholics who throw bottles around. Too many Germans who cry about every little thing!
