just a bahnhof
This place is functional, but not particularly attractive, probably due to its small size. If you are staying for a longer period of time, there is only one possibility in the cold and wet, in a self-service cafe, for a comfortable stay. Otherwise it's just drafty and cold here.
However, there is a wheelchair-accessible entrance as well as an elevator. Illumination of the station in the dark is sufficient.
Clean
Giant taxi stand, not a taxi !!! After 15 different taxi calls get a taxi from Mengede! And that with DB voucher. What's going on here????? Never experienced !!!!
Relatively clean, but it is time that there again a baker / café. Then the passage is not so bleak. Very well connected with traffic, with a fairly large P & R parking lot (it's well worth the trip early anyway!), Good bus connection. In front of the station there is a bank, a very good Greek and Turkish snack, a kiosk and a taxi rank.
