By chance I found out about the Hörde homeland association through a report in the free magazine "Zentrale". On the homepage there is a lot of interesting information to read about the Hörder Castle and the history of steel construction. The virtual tour including the thoughts of the steel worker were very informative and emotional. I like to remember the glow of the Hörder torch when I drove to work in the dark in the morning. Visiting the museum is now on my to-do list.

Very inconspicuous and rather unknown in the surrounding even by inveterate hunters, it offers a great deal of knowledge that is easy to understand and nicely illustrated. A must for every Dortmunder who is interested in his city and Hörde as a suburb. Also suitable for anyone who wants to learn more about the original use of the Phoenix Lake terrain.
