The administration of the city of Fürstenfeldbruck is now in the so-called "Zwerchhaus", which is located between the market square. The "Zwerchhaus", a former brewery, was first offered to the state as a rent office building by its owner in 1821. In 1823 it actually became an authority: the newly established Bruck District Court, the forerunner of the District Office and District Court, moved here. In 1914 the core of the building, which dates back to 1704, was renewed and the neo-baroque stucco decoration was added. Several extensions were made behind the old main building. 1961 to 1964 the district office built a large complex with a meeting room for the district council in the north. 1973 moved it to the new building on Münchner Strasse. Since then, the building has housed the town hall of Fürstenfeldbruck. In 1978, Lindach, Neu Lindach, Pfaffing, Hasenheide, Aich and Puch formed the new municipality as part of the regional reform. In 2005, the box-shaped conversion and extension building, characterized by glass and wood, was completed - in time for Fürstenfeldbruck to become a major district town on January 1, 2006.
