Fossils Dinos and more...this museum is a great place to visit close to Königsplatz in Munich. With or without kids enjoy this amazing building in a hidden beautiful corner in the technical university area in Munich. For as little money as sometimes free entry. Where is that possible?

My 5years old son is fascinated by dinosaurs. I was trying to bring him here for a long time, and I was able to do it on a Friday. And we loved it. He was so excited and happy to see everything. The only sad thing for us, was that we couldn’t get closer to the big ones on the first floor. I don’t know the reason but it was closed. But we will be back for sure. It’s a free place and also close to other attractions.

Some really fascinating specimens spread out over a couple of small floors. Lots of recognisable fossils and replicas including an Irish Elk and Sabretooth, alongside some fascinating collections of teeth, jaws, and coral, to name a few! It was lovely and quiet and easy to slowly browse through.

From Professors to Maintenance staff, are the nicest most helpful people anywhere in Munich. We visited 3 times because of that.

It is closed on weekends. I have no idea, what is inside the building. The facade looks nice.
