Beautiful and scenic. They have you buy tickets which are very reasonable and you can take a self guided tour through. There are cases with historic armor and weapons. Beautiful architecture and halls. Simply a must see if you are nearby or visiting! It is up on a hill so bring some comfortable shoes and some water! Would love to come back.

The view from the castle is fantastic and well worth the walk. Even though you have to climb a bit I really think it's worth the effort. The castle itself is truly imperial and great to explore.

The complex is quite large and requires walking up and down several stewp hills. Once you reach the top, the view is stunning. You can so most of Nuremberg on a clear day. The area is surrounded by high quality shopping and very friendly cafes, restaurants, and bakeries. I would come back just to eat, but the history is a bonus

Very beautiful castle, especially nice because it's directly in the city and therefore quickly accessible. Please note that it is on a small but somewhat steep hill so it might be exhausting for some people to go up there. It's worth it, though!
