Fantastic museum, I've enjoyed the visit very much
The collections mainly come from 17-18 century Germany and France and 15-16 century Netherlands, and the ongoing exhibition about Systemrelevanz also offers inspiring perspectives about COVID-19, especially its relation to arts. Would be better for foreign visitors if there were English translations.
Although the collection of medieval rennaisance art was very excellent I was very dissapointed to find no information in English...apparently this German art museum decided perhaps rather jealously that English is no longer the world language that it is, and decided to offer explanations only in German and French. Very dissappointed. Normally Germany is very progressive and knows very well that without English even her own language in the modern world simply does not work.
Interesting Museum with quite some nice art pieces.
A guided tour is highly recommended to understand the paintings. If not, there are hand out papers in every room with some explanations.
Great museum! Almost no other people here, which was remarkable because the art here was really nice. If you're in the area, you should really come here to add some culture to your day!
