It was friendly staff in the Schlossbergmuseum, I can recommend a visit.

The museum should not be missed. The exhibition on the city's history is great, especially the three large city models give a wonderful overview of the development of Chemnitz. The current special exhibition on the reconstruction of the city after 1945 is well documented and well designed. The museum section with its collection of historical / church wooden figures (the oldest from the 11th and 12th centuries) is also impressive. These should be left alone and you can also enjoy the appropriate historical ambience of the former monastery buildings. A visit to the museum and the castle church should not be missed. The existing toilets in the building are clean and the museum can also be easily accessed by wheelchair. As the visit to the museum takes some time and there is no possibility of catering in the building itself, a break in the nearby restaurant "Miramar" is recommended for strengthening. During our visit, the parking situation for cars around the museum was a bit tense. With a little patience and searching, everyone should find a place.
