A gigantic collection of beautiful artifacts. In addition to the culture chamber and armory there is the treasure collection in the historic Green vault. They have audio tours allowing you to be guided through the vault by professional commentary. Because of the pandemic you must book a time-slot for the Green Vault, but can peruse the rest of the castle at your leisure. You will need a lot of time :-)

An impressive place and a must-see for whoever is fascinated by gemstones, ivory and gold. Unfortunately the Green Vault is not included in the regular entrance fee for the Residence Palace. So all in all a bit pricey, but still an impressive experience.

On our way from Prague to Berlin, we stopped off in Dresden for a few days. The Green Vaults ended up being the cultural highlight for the entire trip. Truly one of the most unique collections you will see anywhere.
