A city visit to Koblenz on December 25, 2019. We had a big city, so to speak, on Christmas Day, for us, almost all by ourselves .... only a few people were to be seen ... This is something very special for the business world of this city, for us it was a completely different one View of this beautiful old and new town from Koblenz. We really liked people's empty shopping streets, this shop window stroll, and the historical surroundings, which almost seamlessly merge into a modern cityscape ... If you take the central square, which lives up to its name, as a starting point for a tour of the city center, first you see a future-oriented, modern, cityscape. With imposing buildings of modern architecture ... But just a few steps further, you are already in the historic old town of this city, several shopping streets can be found in the vicinity of the central square. Many small and somewhat larger shops are in the streets and alleys of the old town. Beautiful house facades have got my attention, my wife has meanwhile examined the window displays. Since there were hardly any walkers, I was able to take a lot of photos ... Fortunately, a shopping street without people, this state, is limited to just a few days a year ... Many people, on the streets and alleys, are seen symbolically, an image of a lively city, that's how it should be on the shopping streets. A colorful coming, the many people, is also a beautiful sight. Full shopping streets, that's how we know Koblenz, so we're only one of thousands ... but on December 25th, 2019, we were almost alone here, which we see as something special ... That was an inexpensive beautiful city walk through Koblenz, our next visit to this city, looks quite different again ...
