Small museum, just a couple of dioramas and the whole museum can be seen in 15-30 min.

The museum is unique. I have seldom seen such a beautiful and loving exhibition. The exhibits are exquisite and give an amazing insight into the history and diversity of the cribs. Also, the expertise of the owner is unmatched. The next time I'm in Bamberg, I'll definitely go back in! Thanks for the nice time!

Unique and beautiful nativity scenes, lovingly presented by the museum owner! A very special place and an absolute must for every visit to Bamberg, no matter what time of year! I'm looking forward to the next special exhibition!

Opened in November 2001, the museum houses one of the largest private nativity sets in Europe, comprising cribs from four centuries and more than 70 countries. In the exhibition, a cross-section of the various nativity scenes from the collection of Erk Baumann, based on their origin, age and material, is presented on approx. 300 m². In addition to the Christmas cribs, various exhibits on Christmas time will be on display. The museum is open from Saturday before the first Advent until Epiphany from 10.00-12.30 and 14.00-17.30. After Easter is a visit on Monday and Wednesday in the time from 14 to 17:30 clock and by appointment possible.
