Nice place to camp. The owners are down to earth and helpful. They offer a dry tent space for rainy days and chairs and tables everywhere. They also provide you with any information you need and with Gästekarte you get convenient discounts and free rides for public transport. Location is a bit off but feels private. We'll happily come back :-)

We found this campground in a random Google Maps search of the region and are happy to report that the previously posted positive reviews are indeed warranted for pricing, location, and services! We called in advance to make the booking (perhaps unnecessary, but it is corona time) and were pleased with their responsiveness to our questions. Upon arrival, we were actually shown three spots – we chose the one with a view of the river that was also relatively close to the washrooms. We set up a tent, two tables, and tied an extra hanging tarp to the tree. Even with the car, we had ample room (and privacy!) between two neighboring caravans. Everything about the campsite was easy to navigate and understand. We could easily connect to power, for example. In keeping with corona restrictions, everything was clearly marked so that only the appropriate number of (masked!) persons could be in the toilet area, showers, or dishwashing area. I especially appreciated that they marked restricted doors, sinks, and mirrors as „Coronaopfer“ (corona victim). These and the posted quotes in the bathrooms lent the whole situation a bit of charm and good humor! Best of all, the campsite is well situated within the region. We had a car, yes, but we mostly got around by bike or by foot. Hiking and cycling paths practically start within the campsite. We rode our bikes to and from Salzburg, had a nice drive to Königssee, and enjoyed various walking tours in and through Bad Reichenhall and connecting towns. The whole area is spectacular, and this campground was the perfect spot from which to do our exploring. Finally, as to costs: pricing is per spot, per persons, and per used services – power, shower, and trash. The trash fee was a bit weird and the coin-operated hot shower took some getting used to. But the total nightly cost for the place is more than reasonable for such a clean, well-serviced, and well-situated campground. Bottom line: we give this campsite an A++ recommendation and look forward to visiting again in the future!

Absolutely beautiful setting in between mountains and next to a fast flowing river. Fantastic, efficient and friendly staff. Super clean excellent facilities. Completely level and mud free parking. Highly recommend!! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Could be very nice however their restaurant is reserved for campers probably due to limited space.
