Very impressive but not oppressive and the forest around is very quiet and beautiful.

"Against forgetting!" Friedwald - meeting place like Dachau

Very nicely laid out. Unfortunately it is very badly signposted. Hope this will be done

Interestingly designed but unfortunately neglected again.

The best way to visit the Mühldorfer Hart Memorial Sites is by bike. At the end of World War II, forced laborers were housed in earth huts in the forest camp. Of these, only depressions remain in the forest floor. For a long time this place was hidden in the forest and only known to the victims or people from the area. Since April 27, 2018, the forest camp has become a monument, a memorial. A lot of concrete was used, but it fits the story, because the forced laborers were used to build huge concrete arches for an armaments factory, the last of which is a few kilometers to the east in Mühldorfer Hart. Few of the forced laborers have seen the end of the war. Due to the poor housing, nutrition and poor treatment, the prisoners died after an average of eighty days.
