We have been regular customers at Lederer for 14 years. In the last 5/6 years, the former super quality of Kaiser has declined in an outrageous way.
You can't buy the Kaiser on Monday - they're so dark and hard that you think it's the leftovers from the weekend that have been baked again. On Sunday the emperors are much smaller, the quality is the lowest level and the most outrageous are much more expensive. During the week in the afternoon you should buy Kaiser the money because they are so hard to eat. Most of the shop assistants are nice and friendly. Fortunately, there are other bakers in Schwabach.
So far I have only had experience with bread - and that is absolutely excellent! My favorite bread is organic bread and carrot bread, which has a really excellent taste. Apart from that, the price-performance ratio is great if you compare it to other bakeries nearby.
The staff is also very friendly and courteous. I had recently forgotten my money, but on a trust basis I was still allowed to take my bread with me and hand it in a few days later. Try that in a big bakery, they laugh at you.
At this point I don't understand the bad reviews with "looks old-fashioned" and "Availability and selection leaves much to be desired".
What do you expect? Then go to the Lidl / Aldi branch you trust and let out the bread of your choice at 7:58 p.m., but please don't complain if it is inedible the next day and the blank from China or somewhere else comes.
The availability and modernity of a branch says nothing about its quality. On the contrary - I even like it when I don't find any full shelves at an advanced time. Because then I know that there is no overproduction and the rest is simply thrown away!
Here, in my opinion, there are still real baking and pastry art. Tea leaves, nougat rings can be found today with hardly any bakers. Can the Gutsherrenbrot also highly recommend and the Schokobanaen are a dream.
Decent goods, nice staff - selection quickly subsides from midday!
The pretzel sticks, Frankenwuzeln the bee sting and the gingerbread, the Christmas stollen and the big loaf are my favorites. Very good baked goods. You have to try.
