I don't actually write reviews, but the treatment I got in this shop makes me do it! I would never have thought that something brazen and bold! I brought my newly bought and not exactly cheap sandals from ecco (price 110 euros, see picture) to Mr. Trips' shoe workshop because the straps were about 1.5 to 2 centimeters too long. Actually routine work, especially for a shoemaker master! You should think so !! I asked him to just cut them off at the front and sew them up, and it was important to me that the Velcro stays hidden because otherwise it looks totally unsightly and the dust and dirt collects in it! But he wanted to do it differently because it was "such nice shoes", but it would cost more because it would be "quite a handicraft" - 25 to 30 euros. I slipped into the sandals and he made markings on the straps. A week later my father picked up the sandals for me, I was out of town that day. When I put them on I couldn't believe it ... the top straps were of different lengths (!!!) (see photos), and the bottom Velcro was visible on both !!! With the heel straps exactly the same !! The sandals were messed up! I was so upset because the sandals were so expensive, and I didn't want to cut seams a second time at the sandals, snip around with the scissors, glue and have them sewn again, that would not improve anything but make it worse !! When I confronted him yesterday and asked for my money back, and most of all for compensation, he reacted totally unkindly and said he would not give the money back, he had "the right to make improvements" and "wherever work is done, mistakes also happen , that's so" !!! Fechheit something! As MASTER this PUSH WORK is in a ROUTINE WORK, and this STATEMENT is a complete shame !! I bought a second pair because I didn't want a "touch up" because the sandals are already ruined and even more "handicrafts" would only make it worse and he said "this is not your problem mine" that I did that and he wouldn’t give me my money back, let alone compensation! With the new couple, I went to the Doraszelski shoemaker's shop in Bockgasse, and he changed them according to my wishes! Better go to him, he doesn't have much more good reviews for nothing than this greedy and insolent bungler!
