Impressions - Passau - Pictures By the way, the story is on the net over Höllgasse: The term "Höllgasse" derives from the Old High German "hell", which means either "narrow room" or "loud sounding". All houses in the Höllgasse come from the Middle Ages and are listed as historical monuments. They were badly affected by the two big city fires in 1662 and 1680, but were then extensively renovated. Höllgasse has also been affected by floods to this day, most recently by the millennium floods of 2013. Today, artists' studios can be found in Höllgasse.

Passauer Künstlergasse, Höllgasse is definitely worth a visit. Small studios, art on the street .. The narrow lane offers a special insight into Passau. Especially recommended during the artist's night. It is also worthwhile to look at the shops.
