Nice museum with lots to see about the bell making history. Titles in German and Dutch. The movie at the end is perfect for imagening the process of bell making.

A sign on the motorway made us aware of the bell museum. Since we didn't have a fixed destination, we made a detour to Gescher and found the museum straight away. There were really a lot of bells to be seen there, but it wasn't actually what I had imagined. Most of them were painted in paint and looked like old gray machine parts. Only one larger bell in the museum looked like I had imagined. A real work of art! But maybe it is also because in earlier times many bells were melted down to make cannons from them. Many works of art were certainly destroyed as a result. Nevertheless, I can recommend a visit to the bell museum. The place Gescher as such makes a very contemplative impression.
