Beautiful community, embedded in hop gardens, conveniently located (motorway and train connection), between Ingolstadt and Munich, good hiking trails, etc.

Super connections in direction M and N. With the regional express you are in 35 minutes in Munich, in 60 minutes in Nuremberg.

The station, like so many others, makes a shabby impression, which is exacerbated by overflowing rubbish bins and cigarette butts lying around. In more than 2 years of commuting by train to Munich, I could not see a single train employee who advised a smoker of wrongdoing. It is clear to me that the responsible railway employees cannot always be present everywhere, but that is simply too rare. Overall, the impression has solidified that the DB is not making any serious efforts to consistently enforce the smoking ban on its platforms. I feel abandoned here as a paying customer. Instead of a relaxed and smoke-free start to the day, I experience reliably every day of the week at my regional train station, more than one smoker in sight and too often a smell. If I'm unlucky, the next cigarette or cigarillo is lit in the immediate vicinity of me, a smoker decides to position himself directly in the covered area (also when it rains), to fog up the few seats etc. In short, for non-smoking commuters, it is difficult to impossible to avoid the pollutants of a certain group of smokers on the theoretically completely smoke-free platform. Unfortunately, the fact that many environmentally harmful cigarette butts end up on the floor or on the track bed is also a sad fact.
