Nice building ensemble. And a nice place too: Herzogplatz.

The city center is nice people and everything is beautiful

Bad staff absolutely incapable. Just put the dates on it and only send the letters late. Invoices that had been sent to me had due dates from 09.99 as I was only 6 years old. A real mess like all offices in Zweibrücken.

Herzogplatz - also known as the baroque suburb - is one of the most beautiful and harmonious in Europe, according to Sven Hedin. It was created in 1756 when Duke Christian IV (1722-1775) decided to representatively redesign the garden area in front of the Lower Gate, which was still undeveloped at the time. In doing so, he relied on his building director Hautt and citizens willing to build, to whom 40 were exempt from tax. However, the latter were difficult to find. When there were just three new houses in 1770, the duke himself became the owner and refinanced the project with a lottery. Oddly enough, his lot won - whereupon he gave the house to his painter. Speaking of which. While the picturesque city center was destroyed in March 1945, this part of Zweibrücken was preserved. But there have been some striking changes over time. Because the town hall was given a third floor. And the monument to the Iron Chancellor Bismarck was removed from its original place in front of the town hall and - after some discussion - moved to the edge. When the construction crane lifted him up, he is said to have turned grimly to the responsible "Sozis" in the building. But nothing helped ... Oh yes. Who says. that history is boring? The Zweibrückers are not determined. ;)
