I was a customer of Sparda Bank for almost 30 years. Service and performance and prices have continuously deteriorated over time. There are better alternatives. At least the termination of my account went smoothly.

We had problems with the delivery of a new bank card by Sparda Bank. Mr Nawrath, whom we spoke to, took up the matter in a helpful and competent manner. Exemplary!

I was there to apply for online banking for a dependent family member. A power of attorney had already been set up for me at Sparda, but the clerk was too old. My general power of attorney I had brought from the BMJV, which expressly includes the regulation of all financial matters, was not recognized because it did not explicitly list “online banking from Sparda Bank”. I could write a new informal letter and have it signed with this passage. I wish the employee that she never has to take care of a care case and is treated like this. I cannot recommend anyone to be a customer there. Instead, simply switch to a pure online bank, there is no service either, but at least you pay less.
