Sparkasse Essen - self-service centers

Very friendly staff, modern machines, clean foyer. I like to be there :)

Good branch in the district with friendly staff and competent advice. In all matters, they took a lot of time for us, including for building finance and investment. You need an appointment for advice, but you can even make an appointment online. I can't say anything negative, so I don't understand the sometimes bad reviews at all.

Hard to beat incompetence! We wanted to open a business account for a GbR. We were there five times, until we gave up. The first time I always got different answers. We all have to be together on site, but then I have the power of attorney, then again it does not work with power of attorney, we should already provide all the data online, then it will go faster. Then in the branch it was said that it is not possible for a GbR online. Nobody looked through and so I would be taken to the branch manager in the office , who certainly did not get his position through his competence, he took all the data, gave me the documents that he needs and then said that he would then sign up for an appointment to sign. We immediately brought all documents in at noon, received from Another gentleman made an appointment for the following day, as we informed him that we could not take the time off and wait for weeks. The next morning the call came from the branch manager The day before, I asked explicitly whether only the business registration is enough or whether he needs a social contract, which is not a requirement and therefore we do not have any. He only needs the business registration was the answer. Then when I got outraged on the phone that it couldn't be, that they couldn't manage to tell me what documents they needed even during the 5x visit and we didn't have this contract either, because you don't have to have it in Germany and then the legal regulations apply, he became very bitchy and unfriendly. He needs it and then it takes a week after receipt until we can even sign. Since when does it take a week to print out a few pieces of paper ?! I then told him that we didn't want to work in this way and that he should please destroy our documents. I then called another bank, a third-year apprentice did it, which a branch manager at Sparkasse does not seem to be able to do: open an account for us! on the phone, we received our legitimation IDs by mail and were able to get to the bank and get legitimized whenever we wanted. I will also close my private account at the Sparkasse, because I expect at least minimal service if I already pay for it

Customer service in other branches of Sparkasse Essen is apparently considered to be significantly more important than here.
