Small but very nice and interesting museum where you can find more about the life and family of Henry van de Velde. I really enjoyed my visit!

The private house of Belgian architect Henry van de Velde. The exterior looks like a messy but stylish dovecote. But as always he shows himself a master in designing and creating wonderful interior spaces. Unfortunately, there's no more original furniture left. The museum is filled with pieces from elsewhere.

Architecture and Art Nouveau fans, also Weimar friends: you have to see them! Instructive audio guide tour that starts outside. HvdV led a middle-class life with many illustrious guests in a house and garden they had designed themselves (earlier also with a studio house), until the Weimar people scared them away - unfortunately one can imagine vividly in the East again today. The first floor has been carefully restored so that you can virtually participate in it. The only minus: the furniture all come from another apartment, the first floor is rented.

A dream! I love this house and the practical niceties like the children's stairs and the greenhouse on the kitchen wall. You immediately have a homely feeling in the house. 😍 The family thief is simply fantastic!
