predatory contracts but good gym

I've been working out most of my adult life. I've been visiting probably around 20-30 gyms during that time. Balance Fitness Club stands out as the worst I've ever been a member of. Accessibility >> I'm not influenced by this, but in order to be in this gym you'll have to climb at least 4 stairs to checked in, visit the lockers - all before working out is even a possibility. Annoying for me, almost impossible for others. Personal >> In general okay, knows what most instructors knows, have very little interest in their surroundings and is mostly there to sell memberships without disclosing the full details of those memberships. Facilities >> In the low end, cheap weights and dumbbells. Ugly interior and below average cardio machines. Programs >> Want to join a program like Zumba, boxing or Yoga? You better be there 30 minutes before start if you want to secure a spot, and even so they still cram so many people in the activity area that you'd be hard pressed to actually work out properly - not to mention, what about fire regulations? Membership >> Expensive, inflexible and binding for 2 years at a time... when you want to quit, weeeell.. they'll bind you for another 6 months! Overall rating >> 0 Stars would be the correct rating, but I'm fairly sure my review gets the point across - If you have any kind of alternative, avoid Balance Fitness Clubs by all means, especially the one in Flensburg.

+ Nice studio with a great digital concept. + The trainers are also always polite. Now we come to the downside: - The contracts and accounts are unfortunately very opaque - The general terms and conditions and price lists cannot be viewed online. - Free weights area is out of date. - The discounted student price is only valid as long as you hand in the certificate of enrollment on your own initiative, if this does not happen you will not be notified but upgraded to the normal price, subsequent confirmation is not possible, not even out of goodwill. - The sauna area is small and the steam bath is not worth it. Next time I will use a low-cost provider again and thus support a large fitness chain.

The center extends over several levels. The strength / dumbbell area is too narrow for my taste and what is missing is a free-style area and a track with a "sledge". Otherwise, the studio has all the important equipment and offers courses for a mixed audience. I assume that the new studio will be further upgraded and my rating will improve significantly.
