Camping Altenahr

Spacious campsite in a nice valley next to a stream. A good stop off point for our long journey.

Site ok. Felt a little busy for my liking. In a lovely area.

WC is not clean it smell like pie Shower is expensive put €1,00 in and you can go for think 3or 4 minits There is a train line near by and one train is coming at 5 in the morning I have also a experiance that I had a spot with my tent and Day after there was a big groupie of German making big noice and I can not park my car near my tent So Mist go to a other spot and do all by my self the owner dors not help That on 10 in the evening

Place to go

Beautiful campsite, neat, friendly owners, favorable prices. Don't expect an amusement park with all kinds of facilities, but we don't come for that either, it is quiet and they have everything that is needed. Nearby is a supermarket, eateries. Good base for walking and cycling. I think we will come back here again. What is a shame, but that is not the fault of the campsite (!), Is that the municipality of Altenahr does little to maintain the public space. Everything rusts away everywhere (benches, fences, fences) in many places there are no fences (fall protection), a lot of weeds. The lawn opposite the church could be neatly mowed and there is a beautiful sunbathing area. The pedestrian bridge that was undamaged was closed. We noticed this because we came from Austria / Switzerland, and there was more attention for that.
