Very beautiful and nicely arranged and organized

A tunnel is used to connect the various rail lines making it easy to go from one line to the next if you have five minutes between trains. If you can run you could make even a tighter connection. The tunnel is not as bright as some stations.

Helpful staff

I grew up in Mannheim and I come back every 10 years. Gotten very dirty. Lots of bums, sitting, sleeping and drinking right in front of the main entrance/exit door. Smells of urine! There is a police station just around the corner and lots of police presence. So it is pretty safe. Didn't like that the doors were locked when I had to depart for Munich at 03:26 am and I had to walk all the way around the train station to enter it (after 1 am). Therefore I couldn't use the escalators for my 4 heavy pieces of luggage!
