The teachers certainly wouldn't help you cultivate appreciation for their culture or language. Most of them are brusque, and some don't even turn up on time. Make sure you're able to find someone to read the fine prints for you, as they don't bother giving you advise. City of Mannheim itself is a livable place, and the people on the street are generally nice, but I certainly wouldn't recommend this place. Edit: I should say that my review is in reference to the preparatory school, not the University itself, which seems to have a pretty high rating.
