A new museum dedicated to mining and smelting

Small but beautiful ... just like the Malakof tower just a few meters away, the last conveyor tower in Mansfelder Land tells of the 800-year history of mining in this area. A club cares there touching the legacies such as an electric conveyor from about 1907 which was in operation until 2006 and was used for the control of located in 180 meters depth Schlüsselstolln. Also interesting is the last of its kind in the world, a low-shaft furnace for melting the copper shale smelted there at the site. This was saved at the last minute before scrapping by Kulturbanausen and rebuilt here at the site. If required, the doors are also open outside the normal opening hours.
