It is arguably the oldest passage from Hamburg, opened in 1864. Only after the fire of 1989 did Art Nouveau paintings set free again. Between wall and ceiling paintings stands "Mellin's Biscuits". Biscuit baker Mellin had his shop here. This also makes the naming for the passage clear, a nice little hamburger story.

Nice schnöseliger historical place with for Hamburg very rare Art Nouveau atmosphere. Formerly known as "Arcade Writing Rooms". The inscription on a pillar testifies to that time.
