The former home of the poet from the Wars of Liberation and Bonn professor Ernst Moritz Arndt, who has taught at the Rheinische Friedrichs-Wilhelms-Universität since 1819. Today it is a depandence of the Bonn City Museum that is often used for suystellungen.

The house, named after the writer and revolutionary Ernst Moritz Arndt (1769-1860). Arndt lived in this house from 1818 to 1860. In 1933, when the house acquired the status of a museum and departed to the city, it (the house) was restored, made a beautiful garden. Unfortunately, this beautiful look did not last long, as Arndthaus burned to the ground on October 18, 1944 and could not be restored until 1950. If we compare the paintings of 1936 and 1983 now, we can determine that the house was almost completely reconstructed. The right room on the front side is a memorial room for the builder of the house, where the last preserved items and contemporary paintings are stored. Due to complete annihilation during World War II, these are the last few items that are originals.
