Excellent collection of Rocks and Minerals . Very exciting and learning experience for kids . You can buy a souvenir also from the museum .

This museum is quite bizarre. There are three rooms in the Poppelsdorfer Schloß, in which minerals are exhibited, lovingly arranged, very extensively labeled. Everything there is. In addition, a few tables on volcanism, artificial crystals and crystal growth, a tiger eye from Australia and others. Apart from me, maybe 2 people were in this museum all the time, because the opening times really don't invite you to come. I think three times a week, 3 hours each. But the entry is very moderate (2.50 EUR). A student assistant (presumably) occupied the till.
