Reviews
Very nice, competent staff. Great advice. Excellent handling of children and young people. Pleasant, friendly atmosphere.
Wanted to make an appointment for an adult tooth misalignment.
Of the 3 local orthodontists, only practice Holzhüter charges 110 € only for the initial consultation. Don't want to know how much the treatment will cost ...
I don't think you need to rely on new customers here.
Quite excellent
The result is impressive, especially since I had many bad positions. Seven years later, the teeth are still beautiful and straight. The team was always friendly and conscientious. A brace is of course generally ugly and annoying, but at least pain was rare. In principle, only when I got the fixed braces the first time a few days. My treatment lasted for a long time, which sometimes bothered me a lot, but on the other hand it was better than pain all the time. On dental care is also very much respected here. That annoyed me, but is inevitable with a braces
However, there were some points that stank me. The treatment started when I was eleven years old and ended about when I was 16. What and how was treated, was discussed exclusively with my mother. For such topics Dr. Woodcutter made separate appointments with my mother, which I was never there with. I would like to have a say in that age. So my mother could only inform me in retrospect and ask how I feel about it. I did not think so. For example, because of my jaw malposition, the application of a Delaire mask was in the room. Such a frame that you have to wear several hours a day on the head. As an alternative, Dr. Ing. Wooden keeper then recommended osteopathy, which actually helped and the Delaire mask fortunately averted, but as a teenager for me an absolute no-go that I am not asked by the doctor if I can imagine a Delaire mask at all. I would not have done that for sure.
The wait was always quite long, despite appointment. The parents are not allowed to accompany the children into the treatment room. For me that was not a problem, but with anxious children I find that unfavorable.
Longer appointments (especially the insertion of the braces and removal) generally take place only in the morning. This is - I suppose - standard, since almost all patients of an orthodontist are probably compulsory and of course then as short as possible appointments such as controls on the afternoon and fills the mornings with tedious, but rare occasions. That was also compatible with the school now.
After removing the braces I got a fixed retainer at my own expense, as the health insurance company only pays the loose and it is less effective and I did not want it. I was advised to introduce myself every 6 months to check the retainer's seat. Since the statutory health insurance no longer pays, per appointment 35 euros out of pocket. I am then good for the first time and asked how long I still have to wear the retainer. Instead of an answer comes only a smile and "as long as possible". When I ask how long he has to stay inside, again no answer. My dentist wants to take out the retainer for months, because the dental care is so much more difficult and forms strong tartar in the area. I am then again to Dr. med. Woodkeeper, but except the indication that the retainer is still sitting and costs 35 euros, again nothing. In the meantime, I have repeatedly and explicitly asked her on both appointments how long the retainer should remain / absolutely must and whether one can not take it out of dental care, but never receive a specific answer.
I will go to another orthodontist and ask for a second opinion. Of course, no one can say for sure and the removal is at my risk, but I expect a Council, especially for 35 euros. In addition, what exactly are the benefits of teeth when they become yellow due to the massively limited brushing of their teeth and in the end even get damaged?
The treatment is fine, but the circumstances make me decide that I would not opt for this orthodontist for a second time.
I am very satisfied with the treatment with Dr. Holzhalter. You and your entire team are very friendly and competent.
I would definitely recommend you.
