Very interesting hunting and waterways exhibition on top floor with many interactive exhibits. Cinema on ground floor showed film about the life cycle of trees in the Bavarian Woodland. The gallery exhibits did not interest me, but then art is a matter of taste! Our visit coincided with the annual 3 day Schlossfest, held at the end of August. The medieval themed festival was a real treat with a wealth of talented artists who entertained us with magic, theatre, acrobatics, swordsmanship and falconry. If you can time your trip at this time, the museum entry is also free.

Quite ok, great for families with children

At the moment still under construction and only partially open. It is definitely worth going with children. Good preparations, very well explained. Entry with guest card is very inexpensive. The access will be better after the completion of the road construction measure. Turn right after the Shell petrol station Have fun.

Little difficult to find. Once found, a beautiful interactive museum about hunting and the animals that occur in the Bayerische Forest Especially recommended with children.

One of the best museums I've visited! Great structure of the processes and a lot of information about the hunt and the Bavarian Forest! There are many interactions that can inspire children and are instructive for adults. The audio guide should be a must on the tour of the museum. This is available for free against a deposit of 5 € and it brings even more life to the tour! Unfortunately, the museum is not the right place for wheelchair users and the disabled. Because it is spread over several floors and there is no elevator, the construction of which in the castle would not have been unsuccessful! The information room on the Bavarian Forest National Park on the ground floor is also worth a visit! As I already wrote, everything is very suitable for children and certainly does not allow boredom!
