Very cozy and relaxing place for camping. Slow camping indeed! Also, super friendly and welcoming staff! Would come back next summer ☀️

When we arrived it looked very full and small. However if you walk around a bit you can find your private corner because it has bushes and trees. It is a cute and cozy park with an alternative atmosphere. The "restaurant" has a "family picknick" vibe with home made food. You can take drinks at any time from the outside fridge and leave the money in the box. There are power outlets on the floor next to the restaurant. The reception is an old tram. Everything is very cute. And it's surprisingly a very quiet camping park. No big groups, loud kids or dogs running without a leash. It's close to a public pool and within walking distance of the city center even though it's in a quiet area in the woods. The owner is a nice guy and the bathrooms were clean. It's also cheap (18€)

Loved this site. I phoned ahead on the day, and was told "I always have space for tents". We had a nice pitch in the central area (grass was lovely and short), and a walk around revealed loads of tent space at the edges too. Although there seemed to be a lot of occupied pitches, the site was quiet. The toilet block was good – complete and clean facilities, and there was also a washing-up area. Nice people (friendly and helpful). English spoken. Supermarket and pharmacy (and ATM) nearby. Good value for money. Cash only at the moment, but credit-card facilities coming soon apparently.

A nice chilled out campsite. Would be a 5 star if not for the sanitary facilities which are getting a bit old. They have a washing machine which costs €2,50 per use. For a small campervan 2 adults and a child it costs €23 including electricity. They only take cash. There is also a brand new outdoor pool next door to the campsite with children's slide, picnic area and children's play ground and baby pool. After 17:00 hours you pay €2,50 for adults and €1,50 for children, we used the showers there.

We were at the campground around easter and the scenery was beautiful. There is a tram stop right up the road which connects the campsite with the inner city of Jena. There were some issues, especially for men, there was only 1 working toilet (normally there should be 4) and the showers were sometimes without warm water. Added to that if you were to wash in one of the "bathrooms" there was no lighting there. All of the Toilets, the showers were inside some shipping containers (which is a good idea because it is very sturdy) but they were old and some stuff was kind of nasty (one time the water came back up through the drains... The rest of the stay in Jena was pretty nice though (with new toilets + showers I#d give a full 5-star-rating).
