Even there is no English audio guide I enjoyed my time there. Its all about Jena's story through the years. I also really liked the Gerd Sonntag paintings and glass sculptures. You don't need to speak German to enjoy art! There's also a small coffee room where you can have a nice coffee and a sweet served by a really nice and friendly lady .

The Jena Art Collection scores with exciting special exhibitions from classic modern to the present. The own collection is not presented permanently, there is not enough space for it, because the art collection is in the Stadtmuseum Jena. A separate art museum for Jena is always a topic of local politics, but has not yet been realized.

Very manageable but in the middle of the city, right on the market square. I was only there last week. I scanned "porcelain". The exposure to local and German history was great and, in my view, refreshingly combined. Not everyone must have been here in the museum, but all Jena and Jenensians!
