Good lunch menu (within its limited hours), incorporating a number of vegetarian options, some of which were much more imaginative than one usually finds - we had peppers stuffed with rice with Indian (meaning slightly spiced!) vegetables, which in fact was “over-baked”with cheese. They offered a reasonable range of beer, wine, or soft drinks to accompany this.
We came back later for coffee and cake, which were also excellent.
Overall, for a Bakery/Coffee House, this is probably as good as you’ll find.
Very good quality
Good cake and coffe... Upstairs is also a wee museum bit with some old things they found whilst renovating the house
Very nice bakery with a good ambience in the centre of Saalfeld
