Helpful staff

Sparkasse Duisburg is a reliable partner for every self-employed person. The service of the consultants is very courteous and you feel valued as a customer. Of course, the fees here are slightly higher than at many other banks (especially online), but you have a contact person and a bank as a partner who would like to support you as a partner in the long term. Even in the event of problems, someone can be reached at any time. In the case of banks in particular, you shouldn't look carefully at every penny, because good service costs something. I would rather pay money than spend hours in a phone queue.

Disadvantage: I tried withdrawing money from their ATM but no money came out so I tried the closest ATM and it worked, only to find out later that the first ATM was waiting for me to disappear and my money possibly to some thieves passing by, as a friendly employee in this branch explained to me after my complaint. The theft happened more than three months ago but I waited for their response and had to complain twice before receiving an email from them stating that the money had left the machine and they were not doing anything about it can. advantages I have now probably understood why Germans pay cash for the majority of their transactions (74% by number and 48% by value as in 2017). It turned out to me that the loyalty to the Spaltkasse (in Duisburg and in Thuringia), if you have been a customer for more than 4 years and mainly pays with their service, it just doesn't pay back. The first time I've lost money with them is a refund for a purchase I made at my old Sparkasse bank before I moved to Duisburg because they just didn't reply to my email or post and I don't have enough time to spend more money to get back to my old town just to get my refund money in person. Aside from these two incidents, I don't have enough data to post a positive or negative review other than for the friendliness of some of their staff. Conclusion: The next time I use their ATM and no money comes out, I would definitely call the police to report the theft, hopefully to get my money back from their funny, sleepy ATM or from the people or aliens who stole my money. ENGLISH: CONS: I tried to withdraw money from their branch ATM, but no money came out, so I tried the next ATM and it worked, just to discover later that the first ATM waited for me to disappear and might just gave away my money to some thieves passing by, as one friendly employee in this branch explained to me after my complaint. Other than these two incidents, I don’t have enough data to write either a positive or negative review, except for the friendliness of some of their staff.
