Neuenrade is the end point of the outgoing from Menden 22 kilometers long Hönnetalbahn. The route was opened in 1912 and is today one of the most beautiful railway lines in Germany. In October 2018, the track party 30 years Sauerland clock was celebrated. It was a commuter train from the 1960s with diesel locomotives used.
